When You’re Away

Leaves Fall Off the Trees.
Hurts, Even the Cool Breeze.
Sun Fails to Shine.
Even Flying Birds Freeze.
Why Dawn Turns Grey
When You’re Away?

Breath Turns Swift.
My Spirits Refuse to Lift.
Sanity Goes to Drain and
Though Pricey is the Gift,
Why My Heart Refuses to Play
When You’re Away?

My Soul turns Dull.
When You’re Not there to Lull.
Nothing Cares Enough for
My Dreary Frowning Skull.
Why I be Like a Carving of Clay
When You’re Away?
