Just Like That Love

Sharing the Footprints

Sharing the Footprints

Cuddling her solitude, as she walked down the boulevard garnished with yellowish orange leaves and milky white flowers, flourished trees bowed from each side of the walkway and stretched their souls out to kiss at the top in the middle, right above her head.

While streaks of sunshine made their way through the dense leaves forming a golden work of art in the green backdrop, she sneaked the bars of sunshine with flickering eyelids.

Her feet quietly crushed the freshly dropped flower. Still drizzly owing to the morning dew, the flower happily surrendered under her feet for the striking beauty that she was, on the whole and at the soul.

But, she still missed something. Him. The softest of the leaves and the blossomed flowers could not tickle her feet enough as her mind wandered down the memory lanes…

Sun was leisurely dipping in the sea at the farthest skyline where eye could catch a glimpse. She had her fingers knotted with his as they walked down the damp sand on the beach.

A trail of a couple of coupled footprints were left behind as they spoke merely with their fingers tangling – untangling – and tangling again. She rested her head on his shoulders; he indulged in the smell of her hair.

He paused. Paused to bring her in front of him – face to face, eye to eye, lips to lips. Wearing a smile, he tickled her foot with his. She read him precisely.

Words are worthless when hearts do the talking.

With arms embracing around his neck, she softly placed her feet on his. He tenderly, but surely, wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, as if it were possible anymore.

As the stroll continued, the heartbeats harmonized. With the bare feet whispering love to each other, the footprints were shared.

    1. I feel satisfied when the feeling that arises in me converts into words and they travel through your eyes and end up as the ditto same feelings in hearts of readers like you. My job done. πŸ™‚

  3. If anyone can make even a single moment of romance meltingly beautiful, it’s you, Tejas anna πŸ™‚ Your words bring out the love of even minute contacts. I mean, skin to skin contact is clichΓ©d in many romantic scenes, but they appear so unique and beautiful in your posts. Only a loving, pure soul can do that πŸ™‚ Excellent!
